DILG Sultan Kudarat Provincial Personnel Participate in 2nd Quarter NSED and Fire Safety Orientation


The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) of Sultan Kudarat recently convened its 2nd Quarterly Meeting on July 8, 2025 at Kings Hall, Provincial Capitol of Sultan Kudarat, to discuss critical updates and strategies aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness and response, especially as the province braces for the rainy season.
One of the key highlights was the presentation by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on the updated status of Flood Control Projects across the province.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), represented by Outcome Manager/LGOO VII Augustus T. Tabugo, discussed recent issuances and preparedness efforts, including the following:
* The โListo si Kap,โ which outlines the proactive roles of barangay officials in disaster preparedness;
* The โListo Tag-Ulanโ campaign, a timely reminder for communities to stay alert and ready during the rainy season;
* The Adoption of the Earthquake Preparedness Manual, which aims to strengthen local earthquake response systems; and
* Proposed activities and ways forward, such as the conduct of capacity-building programs for barangays.
Meanwhile, the Provincial DRRM Office (PDRRMO) presented updates on LGU compliance with the GAWAD KALASAG program.

As the meeting concluded, the participants underscored the importance of collaboration, information-sharing, and proactive leadership.
With united efforts and a shared commitment, the province continues to move toward building a more resilient and disaster-ready community.
